With its deeply perfumed, lavish pink blooms, Rose ‘Special Anniversary’ makes the perfect celebration gift. Layer upon layer of sumptuous petals form shapely blooms that make wonderful cut flowers. This hybrid tea rose is neat and bushy making a superb container plant, with a long flowering season. With an upright habit it works equally well in borders and rose beds where it is sure to become a firm favourite. Height: 80cm (31"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.

Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In winter, begin pruning floribunda roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems to 20cm (10”) above ground level. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
