Blooming from early summer right through to autumn, Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Cherry' produces masses of eye-catching cherry red flowers on bushy, vigorous and uniform plants. The double blooms are infused with beautiful pastel shades of peach and apricot, and look simply stunning when paired with ornamental grasses or deep purple blooms such as salvias. Relatively compact at only 50cm (20in) tall, this easy-to-grow hardy perennial is perfect for garden borders and container displays. Height and spread: 50cm (20in)

Pot up rudbeckia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them outdoors in sun or partial shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.

Feed and water rudbeckia plants regularly. Deadhead faded rudbeckia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
