Sedum takesimense 'Atlantis' has brought huge excitement to the industry since being awarded RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2019. With mossy green and pale gold foliage, it makes an extremely attractive hardy perennial. Each variegated leaf retains its colour nicely throughout the summer, and boasts a delicately serrated edge. Clusters of yellow flowers explode from pink buds in summer, attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects.

With a low, spreading growth habit, Sedum takesimense 'Atlantis' forms a wide cushion of foliage over time, making excellent ground cover. Plant this drought resistant perennial in a sunny spot for the best display, although it will also tolerate partial shade. Ideal for creating a focal point at the front of borders and rockeries or carpeting gravel gardens with light-reflecting foliage. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Flowering Months
When growing sedum, water regularly during particularly hot dry periods until the plants are fully established. Cut back the old stems and foliage of spreading stonecrop plants after flowering to maintain their shape. Sedum is drought tolerant once fully established. Caution: All parts are harmful if eaten.
Grow sedum in a sunny position in fertile, well drained, non acidic soil that has been enriched with well rotted manure or garden compost.
