Throughout the summer it is bright lime green, before turning to shades of gold and orange for the winter months. The changing colours of this low maintenance plant can be enjoyed on a bright windowsill indoors, but it’s perfectly hardy so you can grow it in the garden too. Perfect for adding a splash of colour to winter rockeries, alpine troughs and those narrow, dry borders at the edge of the patio! Height: 8cm (3"). Spread: 30cm (12").Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. Houseleeks require extremely good drainage. Grow sempervivum plants in sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. Hairy species particularly resent cold, wet conditions and are best provided with some protection from winter weather.Houseleeks are drought resistant and need little attention throughout the growing season. Divide overcrowded clumps in late spring to encourage their spread.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
