Sempervivum SUPERSEMPS® ‘Onyx’ is a super-sized hardy sempervivum forming impressive rosettes up to 8 inches (20cm) across. Resembling a giant cut jewel, ‘Onyx’ features stunning geometrical leaf rosettes in a glowing mahogany-black. In summer, thick stalks arise from the rosettes, carrying starry pink flowers. Sempervivum are drought tolerant, easy and rewarding plants for indoors and out. They come in an array of colours and look superb as a collection, planted into creative containers, gravel or between rock piles.

Height: 10cm-20cm (4in-8in). Spread:10-20cm (4-8in).

Houseleeks require extremely good drainage. Grow sempervivum plants in sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. Hairy species particularly resent cold, wet conditions and are best provided with some protection from winter weather.
Houseleeks are drought resistant and need little attention throughout the growing season. Divide overcrowded clumps in late spring to encourage their spread.
