Handsome, glossy foliage makes Skimmia 'Temptation' the perfect evergreen shrub for adding year-round colour to your garden. It's creamy-white, late spring blooms are a magnet for pollinating insects who adore its nectar-rich flowers. This is female variety which can be pollinated by planting close to a male Skimmia such as 'Rubella'. When planted with a male clone it will reward you with clusters of glossy scarlet berries that bring a festive feel to winter containers. A lovely choice for brightening up shaded borders throughout the year. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

1 x 1.5 Litre Potted Plant (KB7449)

Grow Skimmia plants in a dappled or fully shaded position, in moderately fertile, rich, well drained soil which can be neutral to acidic in pH. Avoid full sun, as this can cause yellowing of the leaves. Alternatively grow Skimmia in large containers, using a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3 mixed with ericaceous (acidic) compost.
Skimmia plants will require very little pruning. After flowering, trim them lightly to keep a good shape, and remove any dead or damaged growth.
