Spiraea 'Arguta', or more commonly known as Bridal Wreath or Foam of May is a beautiful, large and bushy garden shrub that becomes covered in arching sprays of small white flowers in May. It is very easy to maintain, and makes a great informal hedge, or as a specimen in a large border, alongside other flowering shrubs, such as Rhododendron. It is well suited to both cottage and modern style gardens, and is perfect for 'white gardens' where only plants with white flowers are used. Height and spread: 2.5m (8.2').

Spiraea is best grown in a sunny position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil.

Prune back the flowered shoots of Spiraea ‘Arguta' immediately after flowering. Mature specimens can be cut back by a quarter of the old shoots to the base.
