The perfect spring pick-me-up! Once planted, these hidden jewels will be ready to spring up in bare winter soil, dispelling gloom and bringing your garden back to life.
Spring Bulbs Mixed Flowering Collection comprises the following varieties:
Allium 'Karataviense' (5 bulbs) - A strikingly unusual allium from the mountains of Kazakhstan. Globe-shaped heads of starry, pinkish white flowers emerge in May and June on short stalks from between a pair of remarkable broad, glaucous leaves; themselves a spectacular feature. Ideal for rock gardens and makes a great dried flower. RHS AGM. Height and spread: 25cm.
Ipheion (30 bulbs) - Clumps of bright green foliage emerge in the autumn followed by an abundance of colourful, star-shaped flowers in spring. The flowers have a delightfully sweet honey fragrance. Ideal for borders and patio containers where these easy to grow bulbs will provide you with a delightful spring display! Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
Ixiolirion tartarica (20 bulbs) - Rarely seen in gardens, the stunning flowers of the Blue Mountain Lily appear from May to July in a frenzy of royal blue trumpets carried on upright stems. Ixiolirion is perfectly hardy if naturalised in sheltered borders, but makes a lovely container plant too. Height: 30cm (10"). Spread: 10cm (4").
Puschkinia libanotica (20 bulbs) Few Spring bulbs are as elegant as the Russian Snowdrop. The gleaming white blooms are produced in dense clusters, each brightly striped with pale blue. This vigorous bulb is tough and reliable, coping in almost any free draining soil, and enjoying hot summers when their bulbs can bake in the sun. Grow them in borders and rockeries, or naturalise in grass. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4").
Triteleia ‘Queen Fabiola’ (25 bulbs) Starry clusters of deep blue flowers burst from clumps of fine, grass-like foliage in late spring and early summer. Individual flowers open continuously for a month or more extending the bloom time. Also makes an excellent, long lasting cut flower. Attractive to butterflies and other insects. Height: 30cm. Spread: 15cm (6”).

Plant spring bulbs in sun or semi-shade on well drained soil. Alternatively, grow bulbs in containers of loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Plant the bulbs at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height.
After flowering, allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in late summer. Caution: bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
