A compact, slow-growing yew selected for its elegant, widely spreading growth pattern of fine branches. Taxus media ‘Farmen’ has a spherical habit when young, but is spreading with age, forming an unusual evergreen shrub that makes a handsome specimen on its own, or can be clipped regularly to form a dense, low hedge. Height: 1-2m (3.2- 6.5ft). Spread: 2-3m (6.5-9.8ft).

Grow Yew trees in any well drained, fertile soil. Taxus is versatile and will happily grow on acid or alkaline soils. It will grow thrive in almost any position from full sun to deep shade.

A compact yew with a broad growth pattern. Its characteristic growth makes it suitable as a single focal specimen or it can be planted to form a broad, rounded hedge. Height: 1-2m (3.2- 6.5ft). Spread: 2-3m (6.5-9.8ft).
