Thuja plicata 'Whipcord’ has weeping branches that, over time, form a low, rounded dome with a fascinating and most unusual braided appearance. Its evergreen foliage turns to gentle bronze shades over the winter months, bringing year-round interest and structure to the garden. ‘Whipcord’ is a distinctly different variety of Western Red Cedar, and provides an attractive talking point when planted in rockeries, or as a stand-alone specimen. It has been awarded an RHS AGM. Height: 200cm (78"). Spread: 120cm (48").

Grow Thuja in any well-drained soil in full sun. Thuja tolerates any soil conditions - acid, alkaline or neutral. Protect plants from cold, drying winds, especially when younger.

Feed and water Thuja plants regularly until fully established. Once established Thuja require virtually no maintenance.
