This striking, evergreen fan palm forms a truly eye-catching feature in a large container on the patio or terrace, where it will produce sprays of delicate light yellow flowers. Yellow to blue-black kidney-shaped fruits appear after flowering, maintaining this magnificent plant's interest over a long period. Trachycarpus Fortunei has been grown in China and Japan for many years where the strong inner fibre of the leaves is used to make rope and sacks, amongst other items.
