Veronica spicata 'Snow Candles' possesses a quiet elegance that blends effortlessly into almost any planting scheme. The upright spikes of tiny white flowers stand out beautifully against the dark, glossy green foliage. This herbaceous perennial blooms throughout the summer, attracting a constant hum of bees and butterflies. With time, this charming Speedwell will form a spreading clump at the front of borders. Perfect for cottage gardens, wildlife areas or as a hard-working patio plant. Height: 20cm (10"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Pot up Veronica plants and grow them on in warm, frost-free conditions until plants are well grown. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days before planting out in their final positions. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, fertile, well drained soil. Veronica prefers a fertile, humus rich soil so work some well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.

Deadhead faded veronica flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut back old foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant.
