Vinca minor ‘Gertrude Jekyll' has spreading, shiny evergreen foliage that is ideal for weed suppressing ground cover and it will flower faithfully from spring until autumn. With its pure white blooms it will bring cheer to the darkest corner of the garden. Vinca is perfect for difficult areas where other plants don't thrive. A low growing, creeping plant, it needs little attention or maintenance and will grow in even the most joyless corner. Height: 20cm (8") Spread: 50cm (19").

Grow Vinca in borders, woodland gardens or on banks as ground cover, in any moist, well-drained soil which does not dry out. They cope particularly well with clay soils. Periwinkles are versatile plants and will happily grow in full sun, partial shade or full shade, although flowering will be better in sun.

Water Vinca plants frequently until fully established. Once established, periwinkle plants require little attention. Prune periwinkle in spring by cutting back hard to restrict growth.
