This Lesser Periwinkle has variegated leaves with dainty yellow margins, which make an attractive background for its large violet blooms The creeping stems will quickly spread to create superb evergreen groundcover. Vinca minor 'Ralph Shugert' is tough and resilient and will thrive in virtually any garden position, from full sun to shady spots beneath trees and shrubs. This RHS AGM variety is a colourful, low maintenance hardy shrub for rockeries, woodlands and cottage garden borders. Height: 20cm (8”) Spread: 60cm (24”).

Flowering Months
Feed and water Vinca plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established Vinca plants require only occasional attention. Pruning Periwinkle is best undertaken in spring when they can be cut back hard to restrict their growth. Caution: harmful if eaten.
Grow Vinca plants in borders outdoors in any moist, well drained soil. Periwinkle is a particularly tough plant, and will thrive in any garden position, provided that the soil isn’t dry.
