Description How to Grow Delivery

Making excellent groundcover in dry shade beneath shrubs or running along border edges, Viola labradorica will quickly spread through self-seeding and creeping stems to form drifts of evergreen, purplish-green, heart-shaped leaves. In spring it bears many small lavender flowers. Allow it to naturalise in spring borders and woodland gardens where it associates beautifully with spring bulbs, especially dwarf daffodils. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 20cm (8in).

Grow Viola labradorica in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade.
