With an abundance of shining white flowers set against simple, oval, green leaves, Weigela 'Bristol Snowflake' is a classic and deservedly popular variety. Weigela's are vigorous, dense shrubs with a long-flowering season and unfussy requirements. They are perfect for wildlife lovers as their blooms entice beneficial pollinators. This compact cultivar is equally suited to container growing or mixed borders. Height: 1.2m (47in). Spread: 80cm (31in).

Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.

Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
