A new generation of bicolour Agapanthus with bigger blooms than ever before! Agapanthus 'Fireworks' produces an explosion of enormous, rounded flower heads from July to September. Each white bloom is flushed at the base with dark, violet blue, making a dazzling contrast. The strap-like foliage forms a neat clump that creates good ground cover when planted in dense groups. Perfect for adding a strong vertical element to perennial borders, where it will return year after year. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Plant in rich fertile, well drained soil, which is in a position of full sun. To grow Agapanthus plants in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
