Robust and vigorous, these exceptional Begonia 'Majestic Mixed' are totally stunning. The sheer size of the beautiful double blooms, and the amazingly bright colours they come in, will make for a superb splash of colour. Becoming bigger and fuller as the plant matures, these incredible blooms eventually reach up to 20cm (8") diameter! With a sturdy, upright habit this fabulous bedding plant is ideal for beds, borders and patio containers. By the end of the season tubers will have been produced which can be lifted and stored for planting out next year too. Height: up to 45cm (17.5”). Spread: 35cm (14"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up Begonia plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in bright, frost-free conditions, away from direct sun. They can be transplanted into their final containers once they have increased in size. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise begonia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Choose a sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from strong winds.

Feed and water plants frequently throughout the growing season taking care not to over-water, as this will cause new flower buds to drop. Deadhead the single female flowers to encourage more of the large double male flowers to be produced. At the end of the growing season the leaves and stems will yellow and fall off naturally. Reduce watering to prevent begonia plants from rotting at this stage. When the stems have all dropped away, dig out the tubers. Clean and dry them before storing them away in peat or sand at 7-15C (45-60F) until they can be replanted next February.
