Attractive to bees

Delicate white, cup-shaped flowers with a lilac-blue blush appear on tall slender stems throughout early and mid-summer. This charming hardy perennial is quick to establish, forming neat clumps of narrow, green, lance-shaped foliage. Campanula persicifolia 'Chettle Charm' is fantastic for cottage garden borders, where the nectar-rich blooms will attract bees. Peach-leaved bellflowers also make a lovely cut flower for a vase. Height: 90cm (35"). Spread: 30cm (12"). Supplied in a 9cm pot.

Grow Campanula persicifolia on in frost free conditions. When plants are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into borders. Plant Campanula in a fertile, moist, well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water campanula plants regularly until they are fully established. The flower stems may require support as they grow. Cut back faded campanula flowers to encourage a send flush to be produced. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant in autumn or spring.
