This choice form of Campanula portenschlagiana boasts even deeper violet flowers and young foliage which emerges with purplish-green shades. Campanula 'Resholt Variety' creates low, spreading mounds of evergreen foliage, smothered in bell-shaped flowers in summer. An effortless groundcover plant which softens the edges of rockeries, steps, walls and borders creating low drifts of colour and weed-supressing foliage. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 45cm (18in).

Grow Campanula portenschlagiana in any moist, well drained soil. This Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade.

Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn to maintain vigour. Trim back the long stems when necessary to confine them to the available space.
