The grey-green foliage forms a spreading mound, bejewelled with spidery, royal purple flowers from late spring through to midsummer. This eye-catching variety makes a fine choice for filling gaps towards the front of borders. Perennial Cornflowers are hardy, reliable and easy to grow. Ideal for cottage garden borders and wildlife areas where they will attract bees and butterflies to their blooms. Height and spread: 60cm (24").Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. Grow Centaurea in borders in full sun. Perennial Cornflowers are drought tolerant once established and will happily tolerate almost any soil, except those that are excessively waterlogged.Water Centaurea plants regularly until fully established. In autumn, cut back old stems to just above ground level to make way for new growth in the spring.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
