This lovely springtime mix of Chionodoxa bulbs provides a dazzling splash of colour from early March, when it is most needed after the dark days of winter. Commonly known as ‘Glory of the Snow’, this hardy, low maintenance Spring bulb is quick to establish and will happily naturalise in lawns, rockeries, or in the dappled shade beneath trees and shrubs. In time, Chiondoxa ‘Mixed’ will multiply to form carpets of starry blooms that will increase in size and intensity. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 8cm (3").

Glory of the Snow bulbs are ideal for planting in borders, rock gardens, containers or beneath deciduous trees. Grow Chionodoxa in full sun or partial shade, in any well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 8cm (3"). Create natural looking drifts of Chionodoxa flowers by gently casting the bulbs across the lawn or planting area and planting them where they land.
When growing Chionodoxa, it is essential to allow their foliage to die back naturally as this will feed the bulb for the following year. Where bulbs are naturalised in grass, avoid mowing the area until their foliage has died back.
