Forming a strong clump of gold-striped foliage, Cortaderia selloana ‘Golden Fantasy’ glows in the afternoon light. From August to November, it bears erect white plumes on stems up to 1.5m high. These long-lasting plumes and evergreen foliage provide interest and colour into the winter. Use this golden Pampas Grass as a solitary statement in a lawn or as evergreen structure in a mixed border. A tough, long-lasting statement plant, which will almost look after itself. Height and spread: 1.5m (4.9ft).

Plant Pampas Grass into garden borders in a fertile, well-drained garden soil, in full sun. During their first winter, protect the crown of newly-planted specimens.

Cut and comb out older the previous year’s stems each year during winter or late spring.
