Cortaderia selloana ‘Pumila' is robust and long-lasting; perfect for adding interest all year round! This compact variety only reaches 1.2m (3.9'), making it a great addition to a smaller garden, or even for filling a gap in a border. Pampas Grass will practically take care of itself, particularly ‘Pumila', as it is much easier to manage than its bigger cousin. This ornamental grass is especially attractive in August, when the evergreen plants produce silvery plumes from their centres. These feathery flower heads are perfect for drying. Height and Spread: 1.2m (3.9').

Pampas grass thrives in fertile, well-drained garden soil, in full sun. Newly planted specimens will appreciate some winter protection in ther first year.

In late winter or spring, cut down the previous years stems to make way for new growth.
