Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Crocosmias are high performing border plants creating intense colour later on in summer and through into autumn whilst also providing foliage interest with their upright, strap-shaped leaves. Crocosmia ‘Harlequin’ is a striking addition to a hot colour scheme. Its dark stems bear racemes of starry, funnel-shaped flowers with a golden yellow throat and alternating orange and red shades on the reverse of the petals. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 10cm (4”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow Crocosmia in rich fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. If necessary, improve soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure prior to planting.
Crocosmia requires little attention throughout the growing season. Remove old foliage and faded flower stems in autumn and apply a mulch of bark chips or well rotted compost to protect the corms over winter. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Crocosmia in spring to maintain their vigour.
