Description How to Grow Delivery

Broad, glaucous-blue, evergreen leaves cascade from dense clumps. Although Dianella revoluta ‘Blue Stream’ is actually a rhizomatous perennial, it looks and is used just like an ornamental grass. Drought tolerant once established, it is fantastic planted in groups in a gravel garden where its steely-blue leaves catch the sun, providing a contrast in texture and colour to mound-forming plants. It also looks wonderful anywhere that shows off its fountain-like habit, such as a container or raised bed. Height: 70cm (27in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Grow in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered site with well drained acid to neutral soil. Hardy to approx. -7 ºC. Divide clumps in the spring to make new plants. Remove dead leaves in the spring.
