Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Foxgloves are a classic cottage garden plant, thriving in mixed borders and shady woodland spots. Grown as a short-lived perennial or biennial, they look wonderful planted in drifts and left to self-seed, dotting themselves naturally around borders. Digitalis ‘Dalmatian Cream’ is a compact variety producing spikes of bell-shaped cream flowers speckled with deep purple above a basal rosette of slightly hairy leaves. The flowers are loved by bees. Removing the spent flower spikes will encourage a second flush of smaller flowers to develop from the base. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 50cm (20in). Spread: 35cm (14in).

1 x 1 Litre Potted Plant (KC9103)

Although foxgloves prefer a fertile, moist soil, they will happily tolerate almost any soil except those that are excessively dry or waterlogged.
Water foxglove plants regularly until fully established. Foxgloves self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of foxglove flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to encourage plenty of new side shoots. Caution: All parts of foxgloves are toxic if eaten, and contact with the foliage may irritate the skin and eyes.
