A rounded, branching plant, come April it is covered in the familiar yellow-gold droplet blooms - a true sign that spring has sprung! It is resistant to disease, a tough plant and easy to prune. Every small garden should have one. Height and spread 1m (3ft, 3"). Supplied in 8cm pot.
Culinary information: The blossoms are edible raw, though they can be slightly bitter. The will add colour to salads and are a cheery garnish. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Grow Forsythia plants in moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade.Feed and water Forsythia plants regularly until fully established. Prune Forsythia plants in late spring after flowering. Cut back all flowered shoots to a healthy pair of leaves. On established Forsythia plants, cut back up to a fifth of the oldest shoots to their base, to encourage healthy new growth and improve flowering. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
