Foxglove 'Dalmatian Purple' is a dramatic purple selection in the Dalmatian series with large flowers, which become upward-facing as the blooms mature to reveal their pretty spotted interiors. Flowering from May to July, this hardy biennial has a uniform, well-branched habit for a bountiful supply of flowering stems. These versatile Digitalis grow well in either sun or shade and make a lovely addition to cottage gardens borders, woodland gardens or wildlife gardens where they attract many pollinating insects. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Plant Foxgloves out in sun or dappled shade on any fertile, well drained soil. Digitalis will grow well in most soils except for waterlogged or particularly dry conditions. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Water well to settle the soil.Water foxglove plants regularly until fully established. Foxgloves self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of foxglove flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to encourage plenty of new side shoots.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
