Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Unlike many traditional Digitalis that are biennial and only flower the following year after planting, Foxglove 'Foxy' flowers in the first year that it is added to the garden. It produces spires of delicate bell shaped flowers in a blend of pink and white. They are a favourite for traditional cottage gardens, and give height to borders. Bees love them and you can watch them as they fly up and down the spires, entering the bells to access the nectar. They are good for cutting for indoor vases. Foxglove 'Foxy' is a modern cultivar of the Common Foxglove that is native to Britain. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant Foxgloves out in sun or dappled shade on any fertile, well drained soil. Digitalis will grow well in most soils except for waterlogged or particularly dry conditions. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Water well to settle the soil.
Water foxglove plants regularly until fully established. Foxgloves self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of foxglove flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to encourage plenty of new side shoots.
