This hardy fuchsia has the most amazing flower power over an exceptionally long period. A well known RHS AGM variety, Fuchsia ‘Dollar Princess’ bears double flowers in shades of cerise pink and purple. Perfect for creating a real impact in the border or on the patio. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up fuchsia plug plants and grow them on until large enough to plant outside in their final positions. Pinch out the growing points where stems have more than 2 sets of leaves, while the plants are still small. This will encourage the plants to produce more stems, making a bushier plant with more flowers. Grow hardy fuchsias in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
