Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Fuchsias come in many styles but there are none better than Fuchsia Genii for catching the eye. The magenta red sepals curl back to reveal dainty petals in a shade of deep indigo blue. The contrast with the glowing golden leaves serves to highlight the blooms even more. Fuchsia Genii are well behaved shrubs that are easy to grow and as they are fully hardy they'll last for many years. Equally happy in borders or large patio containers these fuchsias will enjoy full sun, partial shade but maybe fare best in dappled shade so you have lots of options about their position in your garden or patio. You can expect flowers from June to September and all that is asked of you is that you deadhead every few days to encourage more blooms. Fuchsia Genii has a RHS Award of Garden Merit award. Height and spread: 90cm (36").

Culinary information: Add the beautiful coloured flowers to salads, crystallise them for a sweet garnish or add them to jellies for an extra splash of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Grow Fuchsias in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
