Fuchsia 'Tom Thumb' is one of the most popular varieties and not without good reason - it is a dwarf hardy Fuchsia which is covered with striking pink-red and purple flowers from June throughout the summer. Perfect in pots, rockeries or in the border, this hardy summer beauty has large single blooms measuring up to 4cm in diameter. It can tolerate some shade and will form a compact mound - it can even be used as a low hedge. Height: 30cm (12") Spread: 30cm (12").

Grow Fuchsias in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
