The leaves are green at the base, with red tips that appear more intense as summer progresses into autumn, when they begin to shine like a jewel and light up the garden when it’s starting to look a little past its best. Imperata can be planted in full sun or semi-shade and requires a moist, well drained soil, especially in winter. Plant in groups of three or five for the most dramatic effectRemove any all-green shoots if they appear. Clumps can be divided in the spring if large enough to do so.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
