Long-lasting fluffy spires of mauve flowers are produced in August and September, attracting clouds of bees and butterflies to the nectar-rich blooms. Unusually, the flowers open from the top downwards! Thriving in a well-drained spot, this easy, drought-tolerant perennial also makes an excellent cut flower. Height: 90cm (35in). Spread: 45cm (18in).

Plant Liatris in full sun on reliably moist, light, well drained soil.In autumn, remove old foliage and faded Liatris flowers. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Gayfeather plants in spring.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.
