Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

Ligularia przewalskii is a plant with real presence in the border, boasting both dramatic foliage and flowers. It forms handsome clumps of large, triangular leaves that are deeply serrated - lending them a highly distinctive appearance. From July to September, it throws up dark, erect stems that bear tall spikes composed of multiple yellow flowers with long drooping petals.

It’s a spectacular plant for moist, shady areas, pond sides or bog gardens where its foliage alone provides a dramatic partner to hostas and ferns. Its midsummer to autumn flowering is really useful in these shady spots, which tend to be dominated by spring flowering plants and often lack colour later on in the season. It also makes an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens, being deer and rabbit resistant, but adored by bees and butterflies. Height: 150cm (60in). Spread: 100cm (39in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
