Holding an RHS Award of Graden Merit, Award Lobelia ‘Compliment Scarlet’ is a hardworking and fiery addition to hot borders and bedding schemes. Tall, dense spires of flaming flowers are produced over a long season from midsummer into autumn, offset by purple-tinged stems and foliage. This hardy perennial lobelia also makes a long-lasting cut flower, with its tall, straight stems ideal for the vase. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Grow Lobelia in a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade on reliably moist, fertile soil.

Cut back old lobelia foliage in autumn and apply a dry mulch of bark chips or straw to protect the crown of the plant during winter. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
