Create bold, vivid impact with the sizzling dark orange blooms of Lychnis x arkwrightii 'Orange Zwerg'. The vibrancy of the flowers is magnified by contrasting bronze-tinged foliage. A great addition to hot borders, bedding schemes and container displays, this hardy perennial flowers from late spring through summer, sometimes still blooming in autumn. Height: 30cm (12in). Spread: 20cm (8in).

Grow Lychnis in a sunny position on fertile, well drained soil.

Deadhead faded Lychnis flowers regularly to prolong flowering and prevent unwanted seedlings. In autumn, cut back the old foliage and faded flower stems to just above ground level to make way for new growth in the spring.
