Miscanthus ‘Lady in Red’ is a superb selection that offers a graceful habit, gorgeous flowers and a fabulous finale of autumn colour which continues through into winter.

The foliage of Miscanthus ‘Lady in Red’ emerges in spring with a red blush, growing up into a tall plant with the cascading leaves adding elegant form and movement to borders. The red foliage tints intensify as the season progresses, whilst late summer sees wiry stems topped with elegant, silvery flower plumes with dark purple anthers. The flowers create stunning light effects when backlit by the sun and the dried flower heads continue to exert a presence through early winter, lending structure and interest to the barest garden months. Meanwhile, in autumn, the slender foliage transitions to deep burgundy red, delivering a blaze of colour that continues into the winter months.
