Oregano ‘Hot and Spicy’ packs a peppery punch to whatever dish you add it to. Spice up your dishes with this full hardy and easy to grow herb. It will produce an abundance of aromatic foliage ready for use from the spring into the late summer months. White flowers will appear in mid-summer meaning it will add some delicate beauty to the herb garden too. Plant up in a sunny spot in a border, bed, or container. Height and spread: 45cm (18").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant oregano at a distance of 30cm (12") apart on any well drained or chalky soil in full sun.

Once established oregano requires little aftercare, and only occasional watering during particularly dry periods. In autumn, apply a mulch of leaf mould or compost for extra winter protection from frosts.
