From July, a profusion of long, fluffy, purple-red flower spikes rise above the glossy foliage. Pennisetum x advena 'Rubrum' is a fast growing variety that makes a spectacular display, contrasting beautifully with other grasses and perennials.

Grow fountain grass in any moist well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun.Feed and water regularly until fully established. In autumn, move to a frost free position such as a heated greenhouse to protect the plant from cold, wet winter conditions. In spring, remove dead foliage and divide clumps every third year to maintain their vigour.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
