Torch lilies prefer a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Work some well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.Water regularly until established. Cut back faded Kniphofia flower heads in autumn and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Lift and divide clumps of Red Hot Pokers in spring every third year to maintain their vigour.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
