A shrub variety rose that has the appearance of a hybrid tea rose. The Rose 'Easy Elegance Sweet Fragrance' has lovely full double apricot coloured flowers, that grow on long upright stems, making them ideal for cutting for vases and home grown gift bouquets. Yellow roses are a traditional symbol of friendship. This rose is very easy to grow, hardy and disease resistant. It will flower from June to September. Height: 1m (39"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

When growing roses, choose a position in fertile well drained soil in full sun. Roses are greedy plants so add a small handful of granular fertiliser and mix some well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting.

Feed and water roses regularly. Deadhead faded flowers. In autumn apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant. In winter, begin pruning shrub roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems lightly by no more than a third. Remaining side shoots should be reduced to two buds.
