Rose ‘Ebb Tide’ is an ideal specimen variety for patio containers as its shorter than normal growth habit means it can cope well with these conditions. The main attraction of this wonderful little rose however, is its beautiful plum/purple coloured blooms which are heavy with a sweet fragrance, these wonderful flowers will continue to appear throughout the summer months due to the rose’s free branching growth. . Height and spread: 75cm (30").

Culinary information: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Flowering Months
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In winter, begin pruning floribunda roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems to 20cm (10") above ground level. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
