Salvia greggii 'Joy'

This lovely salvia provides non-stop joy all through summer until the first frosts!

This shrubby, perennial salvia is perfect for adding long-lasting colour to a pastel-themed border or container display, boasting elegant, bi-coloured blooms with a dark pink hood and a shell pink lip, all set off by a purple calyx.  Salvia ‘Joy’ will provide months of colour when paired with other long-flowering perennials. With dedicated dead-heading, Salvia ‘Joy’ flowers from late spring until autumn, bearing masses of open racemes above small, oval, grey-green foliage which is highly aromatic. The flowers are attractive to pollinating insects making it an excellent choice for a wildlife garden. Height and Spread: 60cm (24"). 

Like other shrubby salvias, Salvia ‘Joy’ is reliably hardy in a freely draining, sunny position but may struggle in colder climates where the soil remains wet during the winter.
