Delivery Information View Product DescriptionLoading...Description How to Grow More Info DeliveryVerbascum phlomoides 'Banana Custard' is a dramatic plant for the back of the border, with tall yellow flower spikes rising above low rosettes of grey-green foliage from June to August. Often grown as a biennial, or short-lived perennial, this striking architectural plant is prized for summer bouquets and loved by pollinating insects. Allow it to self-seed after flowering, and you’ll have a new batch of Mullein plants next spring that will flower the following year. Height: 180cm (71"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Grow Verbascum plants in sunny or semi shaded borders in neutral or alkaline, poor well drained soil.Established Verbascum plants require little maintenance. Deadhead faded flower spikes to encourage more Verbascum flowers to be produced. Cut back old stems at the base in autumn and remove any damaged and yellowing foliage. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost around the base of the plant.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
