When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise Verbena plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting into their final positions in beds, borders, window boxes and containers. Grow Verbenas in any moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Apply a thick mulch in late autumn or overwinter in a frost-free glasshouse.
Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to ensure an endless supply of flowers. Verbena flowers do not require dead heading.
