Fuchsia 'Purple Rain' boasts beautiful pink sepals above extravagant ruffles of purple petals, with fabulous magenta marbling. The large double blooms will drip from trailing stems all summer long. With unrivalled durability and weather resistance, these half-hardy giants will look stunning in your hanging baskets and patio containers. Height and spread: 30cm (12”). Supplied as plug plants.

Pot up fuchsia plants into containers or baskets and grow them on in warm frost free conditions. Pinch out the growing points where stems have more than 2 sets of leaves, while the plants are still small. This will encourage the plants to produce more stems, making a bushier plant with more flowers. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise fuchsia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. For their final position, grow fuchsia plants in a sunny or semi shaded site.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
