Plant pansy plugs directly into flower pouches, or pot them up for transplanting into beds, baskets, containers and window boxes later on. Grow pansies on in a cool, bright position until fully rooted into their pots. Gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting in their final positions. For pansy plants received in the spring, only plant out once all risk of frost has passed. Grow viola plants in full sun or semi shade in moist, well drained soil.Feed and water pansy plants frequently during the growing season. Winter pansies do not require feeding over winter and should only be watered during dry periods. Deadhead faded pansy flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced and prevent them from self seeding. Pansies are short-lived perennials, performing best in their first season, and are normally grown as annual or biennial plants.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
